The exhibition showcased original mixed-media artworks by artist & model Langley Fox Hemingway & fashion photographer Andrew Kuykendall, in addition to one-of-a-kind graphite drawings by Ms. Fox Hemingway & fine-art 35mm film photography by Mr. Kuykendall. This was the first large-scale exhibition of Langley's artwork in a gallery. Artist bios below.

Andrew Kuykendall
Andrew's unique photographic style of imagery creation combines raw elegance with a deep affection for color. Since the early 2000’s, his work has contributed to shaping the of American counter culture in photography, art, advertising & design.

His lifelong affair with the camera began with the use of a Polaroid as a child in the early 1980’s. He quickly became fascinated by capturing life through the eye of a lens.

A eighteen he traveled the world, documenting his experiences with a camera. By then he knew photography was his calling. After graduating from Art Center College of Design he pursued a career in fashion photography.

In addition to his work gracing the covers of international magazines & endless editorial & commercial campaigns, he has shown his fine art photography in galleries across the globe.

 

Langley Fox Hemingway
Orignally from Sun Valley, Idaho, Langley’s love for drawing began as a child through her exposure to amazing natural environments. Descending from a family of artists, including her maternal great-grandfather, Ernest Hemingway, her father, film-maker Stephen Crisman & her mother, actress & author Mariel Hemingway, drawing is how Langley expresses herself creatively. 

After studying fashion design at Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angeles, Langley moved to NYC to continue her education at Parsons The New School. 

Her photorealistic style of drawing has led her to commissions by brands such as Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, L’Officiel Hommes, Alice & Olivia, Pamela Love, Sportsmax, Ugg Australia, Forever 21 & Christy Dawn.
